"If  'emergence' could be physiologically felt, it would be similar to the cold I once felt from one hemolytic facial flush when a conversational sparring partner confessed: 'I could get used to this'. Whatever 'this' was had the stench of romanticised perfection, as if I myself were an unmoving chamber to be haunted. While working as EIC, I challenged my tendency to love anything to a static and imag- inary brim. I enjoyed working with ideas and people bursting out of their bubbles with the promise of renewed meaning upon each encounter."
